Schipol transfer - KE onward to Glasgow KLM Cityhopper - baggage

Looking for recent experience for the following situation.

Arriving to AMS on KE from Incheon. Separate ticket on KLM Cityhopper to Glasgow
UK passport holder.
Can baggage transfer be arranged at an airside transfer desk to get the baggage on to the Glasgow flight?
If not, will going to collect it and then check in again for the new flight be permitted without being subject to going in to self quarantine?

Basically, arriving from a non EU country, onward separate ticket to UK, need to get baggage re-checked. Possible or not?

I would ask KE to check your bags through, if they won't agree then you will have to go land-side to collect and re-check your luggage.
Technically no issue going land-side and leave again as there is no enforcement or any forms needed for self quarantine.

The law says you must quarantine for 14 calendar days after arriving in the UK (Scotland) whether or not you go landside at AMS. So the question is moot.

Question on quarantine was for Netherlands - ie if you go landside to collect luggage, to check in for new flight - does that mean you've entered the Netherlands and have to do the 10 days quarantine there

No you don't have to spend 10 days in isolation on the Netherlands because the Netherlands permits entry from Korea without the need to isolate (assuming you've spent the requisit amount of time there or arrived there from a 'safe' country.)

You do your isolation in Scotland when you arrive there because you have been in the Netherlands.

Anyway seems to be clear enough now - if the bags can't be checked through from KE on to KLM, then baggage claim is before customs control (reading the Schipol website)
Check in again, then good to go

That's rather an important piece of information. If you want accurate answers then you MUST give full and accurate information,.

OP does not need to self-quarantine in the Netherlands. The Dutch Government website clearly lists that EU nationals (incl. the UK) are exempt from the self-isolation requirement when transiting through the airport - see the links below. Even if OP has to go landside to re-check his bag, he still does not leave the airport premises and will be fine according to the letter of the Dutch law. The "self-quarantine" in the Netherlands is anyway a strict recommendation and is not enforced, so nothing to worry about the AMS stop.

However, as far as I know the Netherlands is still on the COVID19 naughty list of the Scottish/UK governments. If bags are not checked through, OP needs to pass through passport control to enter the Netherlands if he wants to reclaim his bags and check them in again, so would have theoretically visited the Netherlands from a legal point of view.

As I'm not an expert about Scottish/British laws, I will not delve into the question what will happen/is recommended upon arrival in Glasgow if that will be the situation..! I guess it does mean self-quarantine there.
