hand luggage liquids AMS-GVA

Doing a return flight AMS-GVA (so Schengen) with only hand luggage and I can't remember anymore if this means with AMS security going through the newer type of scanners that allows liquids more than 100ml and leaving them in the bags?
Also wondering about the return (less important though) from Geneva, what's the current status of liquid restrictions? (I know officially still 100ml outside the bags)
Thanks

It is not a matter of scanners but of regulations. Here's a link to the currently valid ones in the EU (i.e. also AMS). Also, this has nothing to do with Schengen, Switzerland restricts liquids in a similar fashion. After almost 20 years of flying with them, there are rumours that some will be lifted, but as yet no country took such an action.

Regardless of what the regulations are, in Ams you can clear security with liquids not in a transparent bag, inside your bags, and also with liquids exceeding 100ml.
Just did this again without a secondary, there are clear information signs stating you need to leave liquids inside the bags, but you can only do this where the newer type of scanner is deployed. It's possible all scanners have now been replaced at Ams. but they used to have them only on one side of the airport.

Was at GVA today. All bags can go straight into the scanner without needing to remove anything.

But there was a sign that still said no liquids over 100ml, I think. I didn't see this thread before so wasn't specifically looking.
