Has intl-dom transit time in IST new airport gotten faster?

Hi all, asking your advice in order to plan whether to buy a ticket w/ 1hr20min connection in Istanbul, arriving from Italy on TK, transiting to TK domestic Turkey flight in the evening (with no later option).

In my past experience, the line for immigration at the old IST airport could easily be 1 hour long (although maybe that was just to enter Istanbul and not connect to another flight). Now that the new airport is open, is this any faster? Is this reasonable to book?

We have US passports, and will get the e-visa.

Thanks!

Similar to old IST, there are dedicated int to dom immigration counters and security checkpoints. However, in new IST, the dedicated transfer checkpoint locations are signposted so you should be able to pass security and passport control within 10-15 minutes maximum.

There should be a dedicated lane for Business Class passengers within the International-Domestic transfer area. However, generally, the wait time would be so short and it won't be worth using the Priority Lane.
