Best Mediterranean luxury beach resorts
 

Could someone point me towards a listing of best Mediterranean beach resorts (if such a list exists)?
Looking for a long getaway in August. Recommendations from FTers welcomed.

Looking for something charming, small, boutique - even independent villas will do if they come with the optional service of maids and chefs.
Could be anywhere from the Greek Islands to Corsica, Sardinia, even Sicily.
The only major requirement is a very reliable internet connection for multiple simultaneous video calls + be on or very close to the beach.

If you are OK to go a bit to the east, to Turkey, I can suggest you the best resorts over there, which would be cheaper than France, Italy and around the same price as Greek Islands.

However, if you're looking for a cooler climate, I would give my vote for Corsica or the Balkans which would be cooler and much more charming.

And, if you have a specific hotel chain that you want to earn points, that could be useful as well for suggestions throughout the continent.

I am looking for a special family reunion of about 10 people.
Cost is irrelevant for this particular trip. What is more important is something non cookie cutter (absolutely no Hilton etc like properties), relatively small places with top notch service levels.

Not the category of accommodation I usually look for, so don't take my word for it. But I did recently read this glowing review of an Aman in Greece which might fit your needs. I can however vouch for the area as there is tons of amazing stuff to see around! Nafplion is a charming town and it used to be the old Greek capital even for a few years. The theatre at Epidavros is an amazing sight. And you can make easy day trips to the islands of Hydra and Spetses which are really charming.

Same as Romanianflyer, I can't afford a luxury resort and I have, thus, very limited personal experience but, like him, I can vouch for the area around Nafplion for the reasons stated. Let me only add, though, that if you need a stay for about ~10 people in August, unless you are talking about next year, you'd have to make up your mind and book... yesterday! You're talking about the very peak of the season!
