Pity the OP didn't come back to answer the questions raised so we could offer more targeted advice.

Hi, Mark summer is the best time to visit the beach destinations in Europe. You can choose from the range of coastlines in France, Italy, Spain, Greece, turkey and many more.

I can personally recommend the number one attraction,

High Tatras, Slovakia

I was there this time two years ago, and the hiking and trekking was great. Saw the lakes and peaks, but sadly no wildlife to speak of.

And it's inexpensive, relatively easy to get to and Slovakia uses Euros ^

The closest city with Star Alliance flights is Kosice (check mark over S). I used my United miles, so took the train from there, but you can fly directly into Poprad (you can even fly in from Tel Aviv - a non ElAl airline has weekly flights).

I love mountains and hiking, so could easily stay a week or more, but that is not for everyone. Poprad itself is a somewhat sleepy town, but pretty nice. If you are willing to spend more you can stay up at the foot of High Tatras, alas I am a dedicated budget traveler.

It really depends on what you like to do and stuff but here goes the list of places I think are worth visiting in Europe: Croatian islands - Brač, Mljet, Dugi otok and all other islands too, they are all beautiful. Canary islands, Italy - especially the south, Portugal.

I'd recommend the more standard places for first time travelers.

The former without a doubt, Clacton being another valid option.

Europe - A Best Vacation Holiday

Europe continent is rich with artistic legacy, dramatic natural landscapes, opulent palaces fantastic beachscapes, cities and more. It would be a cumbersome task to name a few. Particularly, during summers if you are after great adventures and family time, Spain, Portugal, and Turkey are the best places to explore on a vacation.

Perhaps I'm not catching the irony?

These are all places with severe over-tourism in one compact list. Avoid during the summer holidays at all cost. Be a savvy traveller. If you want to go to these places, wait for the off-season.

I don't know if it was meant to be ironic, but it seems like an appropriate response to such a generic question with a list that was lifted straight off a Google search.

Why does this thread seem to attract lots of new posters some of whom appear not to understand this forum?
