Four days in Amsterdam, what not to miss?

Looking forward to our 4 days coming up 02/20/19 when we finally see Amsterdam. Both active and in our 50's. Would like to not miss out on any special spots that you might know of, great Pubs, Restaurants or off the beaten path things to see. Any venues with live music maybe? Thanks to this great Flyertalk community.

could I suggest that you have a scan through the board and look at many of the other 'things to do in Amsterdam' related threads which will contain answers to your questions.

the I amsterdam website is a good resource as is their facebook page

Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in the world. I love its brick buildings, open skyline, rich history, and relaxed, easy going attitude towards life. Amsterdam is such a beautiful city that should be on every Europe travellers itinerary seems like you know Amsterdam quite well Matt. Thanks for all the tips, you know more places than even I do! I hope I can get back to Amsterdam sometime soon, I miss this city so much. Next time I will go.

There are a couple good threads on places to go.
Visit a brown bar. Sit outside. There is a great collection of them at Leidseplein Square.
Vondal Park is a must. There is a great outdoor restaurant/bar in the NW corner to sit and have a beverage.
If you like beer, one of my favorite bars in the world is in Amsterdam, Proeflokaal Arendsnest, serves all dutch craft beers.

I always recommend visitors to see Begijnhof. What a beautiful little secluded part of Amsterdam that is!
