Overnight IST layover
 

Looking for a hotel for an overnight layover at IST.

ETA 2300 Local ETD 1000

Most hotels shuttles seam to finish earlier so any suggestions greatfully received.

I wouldn't bother with a shuttle. Taxis are cheap enough.

Also there are quite a few hotels at Ataköy - 2 short metro stops away.

Hyatt and Sheraton in Atakoy are you best bets. Jump in a taxi which I have never had a problem with.

The Wow hotel is one stop on the metro and you can get the shuttle back in the morning. Decent enough hotel despite the name.

Another recommendation for the Wow Airport Hotel. Nothing particularly spectacular but the rooms are fine, and it is far enough away that I was not bothered by airport noise.

The hotel is close enough to the airport that the first time I stayed there I actually walked from the terminal to the hotel but I would not recommend doing so as part of the walk is along a busy road without sidewalks. The metro is an easy one stop ride and the shuttle back to the airport is quick.

There's nothing much in the neighborhood except for some restaurants and a convention center which was fairly desolate when I stayed, but it's fine for a layover.
