Going to Greece? Check your Flight. 9/8/16
Serious storms and flooding hit Greece the other day. The Peloponnese was particularly hard hit with several deaths and a lot of destruction. Dozens of cars washed out to sea. The Kalamata airport is still closed and flights are being diverted to Athens. Roads are difficult with debris and wash-outs.
They are expecting more storms today. (Thursday)

Kalamata got more than 15.5 cm of water (month average for September is ~7.5 cm).
By the way, that was two days ago and no such big storm is expected in the foreseeable future (though rain is expected for most of the country).
PS Added later: High winds in the area today, some flights landed, some were diverted and some were cancelled.
