TXL transfer time?
 

I have a flight out of TXL that I really don't want to miss: TXL -> JFK -> SEA. Do I need to go through immigration process at TXL? Will there be an extra screening for a flight to US?

The problem is that I will be starting in Budapest and I need to take a flight from there. There's one flight that gives me 55 mins connection. Would that be enough?

There's another one that gives me 5 hours to connect, but...

Anyway, any insights or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated!

TXL experience is random to say the least. 55mins for US connection might be tight even in very predictable Munich. I would never risk it in TXL.

Yeah I would also take the 5 hour connection. Or fly in the day before and spend a night in Berlin, Hotels usually aren't that expensive.
