Has anyone here heard of WelcomePickups.com? I was poking around for airport > hotel transfers and found this listed in the WikiTravel entry. Meet-and-greet, flat rates, vetted taxis drivers.

Looks like a nice, legit site, like if Uber and Airbnb got together and bore a transfer service. Just curious if anyone has used them and what the experience was like. Looks promising.

How do you select the drivers?
Both the local drivers and the taxi drivers who participate in the service are selected and trained by us in order for you to have an excellent experience. They are reviewed both by the customers and the company for their quality of service. Each of them has a unique personality, with stellar customer service skills, and we would not hesitate to pair them with any of our travelers.

I used them last month ATH
 

Early October used Welcome Pickups from ATH to our hotel.

Couldn't have been easier and the app is pretty cool.

We didn't use any of the extras that they offered, but I can see where they might come in handy (sim cards, tickets for sites, etc.)

I would definitely recommend.

Anyone know if this a still a viable option? Looking for transport into Rome on Christmas night, around 10:30pm.
