Which IST hotel...

is most likely or guaranteed to provide a room at 8:30 am and is in the immediate vicinity? I am thinking that the TAV airport hotel or the WOW airport hotel, being right at the airport, would be able to do this.

My flight gets in at 7:30 am after about 30 hours of travel. Does anyone have any thoughts on it?

TAV for sure. They rent rooms by the hour.

Don't know about WOW.

I should have said - flight leaves the next day at 2pm...so the landside TAV is what I was talking about..

You may look at the newly opened Hilton Garden Inn Airport Hotel located at Gunesli. They have multiple options for short stays.

I stayed in the WOW 5* which is very near to the airport and has their own shuttle service,in 2007/8/9 so I can't really comment on the current state.

None the less the 5* was fairly nice then and the BF delicious.

It is a 5-10 min.drive,so quite convenient.

As this is not related to TK I am moving this to the "Europe including Turkey" destination forum

Thanks. Can you show me where the options are though. I can't find any early check-in options on the site. I just don't want to get to the hotel at 8 am and wait hours for a room. I'd rather a hotel that guaranteed it.

Unfortunately the day rooms are available only from 9 am to 6 pm. You need to input same day check in and check out to see this short stay room option. However in your case I am not sure if this option is suitable for you.

Yeah, it probably isn't but thanks for the heads-up anyway.

what are the options/recommendations if I have an arrival into IST from IAH @ 4:30pm and then have an outbound the next morning to Germany @ 8am - can/should I stay airside somewhere, and if not, is it worth it to go all the way into town for that long of a layover?

Thanks

If I were you, I'd take a hotel near the airport. The airside TAV hotel is ridiculously expensive. Going downtown is a hassle, and you won't have time to see much. But several 5-star hotels can be booked for 50-80 euros per night, requiring only a short (5-10-minutes, or 15TL) taxi ride from the airport. Check the Radisson, Elite World, Gonen, etc.
