1st time to europe- 1 month euro trip itinerary need advice!

Hi everyone i am just about to graduate college and planning a trip from the US to europe with two of my friends for one month!

We have a list of cities in mind and after looking at the map and some flights here is the idea of where we are planning on going.. not exactly sure on how to get from each place or how many days we should spend in each city just yet.

Are these countries and the flow cohesive? Any advice/changes/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. We know that we are trying to see a lot of cities in a short period, so any advice on which cities to cut off and try again another time would also be helpful! thanks so much in advance!

fly into London>paris>amsterdam>Berlin>Prague>venice>Barcel ona> fly home

Well, the choice of cities obviously depends on your interests, but the list you provide is by no means unusual, I would say. and 7 cities in a month is (compared to what some of your compatriots do - I am assuming you hail from the US) not outrageous.
Also the order makes sort of sense, no backtracking etc.
Give some though to the use of trains in Europe. You can get Eurail passes etc. From a train you see much more than from the air, the train gets you to the city centre, a night train saves on accommodation costs and so on.
London - Paris - Amsterdam - Berlin are are certainly good train options.
And arriving by train in Venice is MUCH easier than by air.

Looks pretty sensible to me. Agree that travelling by train would probably be your best bet

Thanks for all of your feedback. I am really interested in seeing some countryside as well and Rome seems a little far out of the way. Any advice on this route?

London(3 days)>Paris(3 days)>Amsterdam(3 days)>Berlin(3 days)>Prague(3 days)>Budapest(2 days)>Switzerland(2 days)>Barcelona(3 days)

What does 3 days mean? Arriving on day 1 and departing on day 3? That would only give you 1 full day at each destination.

So we have ... 4 days in london, 4 days in paris, 3 days in amsterdam, 3 days in berlin, 4 days in Prague, 3 days in Budapest, 2 in Vienna, 2 in Venice, 4 in Barcelona.

Personally, I would never do an itinerary like this. I love getting to an area and exploring it geographically. e.g. get to Germany and spend some time in Germany in different cities. Or do a week or two in the Czech Republic. I get a lot more out of it that way.

However, there's nothing inherently wrong with your itinerary. What you have here will give you a taste of the capitals, but you won't really experience the 'real' life outside the big cities. If you decide to spread yourself this thin, I would consider cutting something (this isn't your last trip to Europe, is it?) and adding a couple of non-main cities in one or two countries.

Makes sure you choose your travel mates wisely and make sure you will be able to travel with them for a month.

Any particular reason for Venice? I've been twice and beyond the marvel of the canals I prefer pretty much any Italian City particularly Florence especially with friends and in your 20s.

I would add some country-side, mountain, seaside destinations. Only visiting capitals gets boring.

as some have said, it depends on what you are looking to do and where your interests lies. If you are planning on trekking all over each city or are you planning on spending time inside museums and on organised tours? Are you buying a Europe pass in conjunction with your TATL trip or is this going to be on low costs and trains?

The area around Florence is know for the many "agriturismo's" (farms that accept guests). Not exactly "budget" but a great experience and May is not high season yet.
