AmanZoe Equivalent?
All,
My wife and I are looking to meet up in southern Europe sometime in mid-April. We're looking for a place where we can relax after a long few months. Somewhere that's warm-ish (whatever's possible for that time of year), relaxing, where we can avoid the logistics of multi-city travel, and yet have some culture around us that we can journey to on a day-to-day basis. We're fairly adventurous and experienced travelers (not our first trip to Europe, by any stretch)--Spain, Italy, Greece, and Turkey (not technically Europe, but who counting?) 're all promising candidates. Places like Amanzoe and Amanruya would be ideal, but are far too over the top--we don't need the private villas or the E1300/night price tag. But the idea holds--is there anywhere that I should be considering for a similar, though far less extravagant place for us to decamp to for a week and relax? Thanks, |
Those do look very expensive.
I like Portugal a lot. Cyprus might also work for what you're looking for. |
By all means come to Cyprus! The weather in April and May is absolutely gorgeous. Orthodox Easter is May 5th and it is the major holiday in Cyprus so there will be lots of celebrations going on.
