Recommendations for a Travel Agency for Turkey?
I'm looking to travel to Turkey in August, maybe September. Can anyone recommend a good travel agency that can offer discounted business tickets or upgradeable fares, etc. from the U.S.? We'd be willing to book our hotel and maybe tours with them too. I'd prefer a Star Alliance carrier, ideally United.
Thanks for any help!

Society of Travel
We booked tours of Istanbul with Society of Travel for a trip in April, and were VERY pleased with everything they did for us. They also got us a good rate at the FS Sultanahmet.
I dont know about airline tickets, but recommend them highly: Nirvana, one of the owners, is very nice, went out of her way to organize a family trip that was constantly changing..
You can pm me if you want more info

I would be surprised if you were able to identify any Turkish agent who was a good value finder, I know of one in London who specialises in value savings deals globally.
August is always going to be a tough find.

a while back there was a reg requiring tickets to be picked up in country one started trip. if that is still so, although you can book in turkey, you must pick up in start point.
we flew iad-ist, week layover, ist-fco-vce-iad. the price of the ist-fco ticket in ist was less than half the price if we bought it in usa. took a large handfull of old turkish lira, went out on the street, and found a travel agency. got the tickets. for a safer way, i'm pretty certain there is an amex office in ist. when we needed one, it was way over on the east side. way over.
