Suggestion for a cheap one-way fare from either Vancouver or Seattle to Europe.

I decided to create this thread here to try to get more suggestions on what to do. Long story short, I already have a fare from London to Vancouver. I just want to buy a cheap fare from either Vancouver or Seattle to Europe. I just want to go where the fare will take me.

Unfortunately due to the amount of time that I took to figure out what to do, the SEA-FRA route via KEF with FI went from $440 to $530 for April 5, 2012. Does anyone here know of anything else for that date? It could be a few days after the 5th and that's fine. I'm looking for something under $500 if possible.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Icelandic Air SEA-KEF around 335. Price it with a connecting flight to wherever you want to wind up.

I want to go where the fare will take me. Are there cheap flights from KEF to continental Europe?

Air Berlin, Edelweiss, and Condor all fly to/from YVR and have one way fares, often quite attractive especially at the start/end of the season (May, and September/October) I know that may be too late for your purposes, however.

Virgin Atlantic is flying to/from YVR as of May, so that may not help.

But there are charters which fly, such as Air Transat. I have no idea of their routings/timetables, but it may be worth checking.

There is a $439 fare on April 3rd from SEA-AMS. Looks like that the next date with sub-$500 fares is two weeks later. Any excuse to go to Amsterdam is a good one.

Seattle (SEA) to Amsterdam (AMS) - Tue, Apr 3
Icelandair Seattle (SEA) to Reykjavik (KEF) - Tue, Apr 3
Icelandair 680 Dep: 4:30PM Arr: 6:45AM 7h 15m Boeing 757 Economy (S)

Layover in KEF Wed, Apr 4 1h 10m

Icelandair Reykjavik (KEF) to Amsterdam (AMS) - Wed, Apr 4
Icelandair 502 Dep: 7:55AM Arr: 12:55PM 3h 0m Boeing 757 Economy (S)

Cost per passenger (including taxes & fees) $439.70
Total cost for 1 passenger $439.70

Air Transat is about $550 to fly to LHR from YVR. I mind as well fly with FI because at least I'll get miles for my Alaska account. It's about the same price with FI to fly to Europe for a one-way fare.
