Houseboat in Amsterdam
 

We are spending 4 days/3 nights in Amsterdam as part of a longer trip in Europe. Although I currently have an award Hilton reservation booked, I thought it would be nifty to stay on a houseboat instead. I tried booking some on AirBNB.com but had a let's say less than stellar experience with that site and its property owners/listers.....

Anyway, can anyone recommend a houseboat rental (direct or service) they have used and liked and that will not break the bank (eg up to US$180 per night for two people). I did the google searches and came across most of the major listing sites and booking services but thought some on FT may have some "secret" tips/contacts. Dates are June 12-15 2011.

and they were mostly very good. I'd say mention my name, but don't, as my boss had a big argument with them (his fault, not theirs) and there was a bit of a falling out. So don't :)
