Helpful Tips for a first timer to Greece? : ))

Hello!
So it is my first trip out of Canada and I am going with my grad class to Greece (:D). We leave the 25th so any advice is extra helpful and I was just wondering about a few things. First off how much money would you expect to spend? If and how much Ouzo i can bring back into Canada (As it wasnt so clear and I will be 18)? Safest way to not get pickpocketed by the gypsies? And really any helpful advice you can give about buying stuff there and not offending anybody. Our three main stops Delphi, Athens, and Olympia. Thanks so much!

Welcome to FT;
How much money you expect to spend is very vague; you can travel of 30-50 euros a day and you can travel on 1000 or more euros a day; all depends on where you sleep, mode of transport, where you eat and how much stuff you buy. 3 star hotels usually run around 70-100 euros a night for two people; hostels run 10-50 euros depending on how many people share the room and if there is a private bathroom; food can go from 5 euros a meal for street food/McDonald style food to hundreds of euros per meal and everything in between;
Not sure about booze coming back to Canada; in the US you have to be 21;
this is the drinking age in Canada (varies by province)

this is the ruling as far as bringing back alcohol:

As far as gypsies, I hate to generalize; most gypsies are very hard working people looking to provide for their families, no different than most Canadians; if you are referring to pickpocketing and robbing then you should be aware of your environment, never flash money or jewelry, put your wallet in the front pocket; keep some money in your pocket so you don't have to open your wallet for everything; keep valuables in the hotel safe and carry a copy of your passport and a photo ID only; don't act or look vulnerable and always pay attention to what is going on around you; be careful who you talk to; stay away from dark streets at night;
