Booking AA with Ethiad wrong DOB
 

If I book a flight with a passenger's DOB incorrect, should I contact AA to update or Ethiad?

Story is I am trying to book BOS-LAX for 25K pp and the miles are in P2's account. In the booking process, I noticed the DOB MM and DD transposed. I have already emailed Etihad guest with a copy of the passport to get updated. Typically how long does this take and should I just go ahead and book the award and fix the DOB after?
