EY expressing interest in OS

https://www.austrianaviation.net/det...ter-zeitdruck/, in german, but Google will translate quite nicely. If true, then... wow... I guess irrational exuberance is back.

Mr. Hogan - are you back?

If not, could current EY management check how successful his strategy was? Or they will never learn?

It is breathtaking arrogance on the part of both the owners and management to think that having failed so spectacularly and bought Etihad to its knees taking service levels to those of some of the budget airlines that they could turn around another failing airline at the best of times let alone in the middle of the biggest crisis aviation has faced since its inception

Actually, the article never explicitly mentioned that Etihad (or IAG for that matter) is interested in taking over OS from LH... It just says that both EY and IAG are interested in expanding in Vienna.

Not quite. The way I read it, the article talks about EY's "interest in participating in the Austrian market". It also clearly mentions this in the context of OS being on the verge of bankruptcy. That said, the article also does mention that a lot of this is speculation, even fantasy. We'll see...

This could just refer to the fact that EY was supposed to start operating AUH-VIE-AUH flights this year (before COVID...)
