EY Resumption of Flights?
We have a booking on EY to transit from SYD via AUH to LHR in mid-May which is still scheduled as operating. I am aware that EY has previously noted that it will be resuming flights in May (only to push back the date from 1 May to 16 May).
Grateful if anyone has any insight (from the UAE etc) as to whether this updated plan is realistic. Note that EK is not resuming flights until late June / early July...

Exactly.
Its will be hard to imagine how medium/long haul flights can operate at all in the foreseeable future. . Without a vaccine or a cure (a strong possibility that neither will ever be available), social distancing is the only thing available to us. It is nearly impossible on a plane to be 2M from other people unless you are flying J or F. Or fly in Y with 25% load.

True! Rebooked with QR in the end as need to get home...unusual to be flying them as have been back and forth on EY the last few years, but I suppose will be good to compare at least!
