new planes? sorry no

Etihad has confirmed newly-delivered A350-1000 aircraft are being put into storage rather than entering service

This is on top of the order for 42 they cancelled in March

I am less confused but sorry to see an airline that offered great service and I had been loyal to for several years rapidly spiral downwards I would have loved to continue flying with them

Rid of the A320's, re-introduce Chauffeurs at outstations and they will be seeing me onboard

Yup me too as long as the on board service/food in business has not deteriorated and the 777s have all been refurbished

but I rather suspect the downward spiral still has legs

Each one of us have their pet peeve with Etihad.
My hope for the A350's was that they would free up other widebodies (787/A330) to send to MAA.

I've not flown them for a year now as I just gave up. I was completely loyal and even made 2 connections in Europe so that I could fly them. I moved away finally as they just kept chipping away everything. My Platinum card is gone now and received a Gold card in the mail and didn't even bother opening it. Joined One World with BA and fly QR now frequently and so far I'm completely happy and made Gold rather quickly and even flew BA business from BKK to LHR and connecting on beyond to maintain my tier points and was pleasantly surprised.

I't sad to see them drop so far.

I really don't get the QR hype to be honest.
EK's catering, chauffeur (even in J) and seating is superior.
The Qsuites I dislike for just being a staggered seat, my hopes were set high.

I am happy with both EK and QR (J class) assuming the price is the same I would go for EK for the chauffeur. As for the catering I found the EK lounge catering so good especially in Dubai that apart from breakfast before landing I only nibbled on board

I agree with the lounge food being great, don't bother eating on-board when flying to MAA.
