EY450 downgraded to 77W

I’m so annoyed - the second time this has happened when I’ve tried to fly EY!

EY450 (AUH-SYD) has been downgraded to a 77W which offers a very different F experience...

Any suggestions about what I should do?

5 pax travelling.

Aircraft like seating are never guaranteed.

If you're on a revenue fare why not contact EY, stress you wanted Apartments and switch to EY454 or the following day? (Make sure to call the Manchester call centre).

Alternatively they may throw points at you.

TBH, I still highly rate the 77W and the staff are far superior.

Thanks. Would you say it’s worth sticking with EY or moving to EK? EK is slightly more expensive.

The difference between the EY 77W and EK A388 is the shower abs bar. I would take the 77W unless you’ve never flown EK before.

I would move a day forward or back to do the EY A388 if possible. I fkybthis route often and you want to be comfortable.

Just checked my reservation in December and I still show on an a380 for EY451. I've never flown the apartment before and that was the main reason for my routing.

"Flight EY451 – which departs Sydney at 3pm for a midnight arrival into Abu Dhabi – and the EY450 return leg will step back to a Boeing 777 from 20 October 2018 to 4 December 2018, and then again from 7 February 2019 to 30 May 2019."

So glad I'm still on the a380 because EY455 does not have any open seats in first.

Thank you for the information. We are booked on Flight EY451 on October 20, 2018 and on line it is still showing as a 388. I see that starting Oct 21, a change was made to a 777. I am hoping they are off by one day in the posted notice. I am just booked in Business Class, but I wanted to experience the product.

Thanks, again.
