J is not cheap as far as I am concerned, maybe it is to some people, but not me.
I fly with my family of four about 3 or 4 times a year MAN-BKK. I usually pay 500-600 PP for Economy. The J fare is around 1900+.PP. That is 5200 pounds difference per trip difference. If I was flying solo, then not much of an issue, but paying for four tickets, I really cannot justify the added cost.

Ex-SEA (south east asia) fares to EU (esp on QR) gravitate at around 1300gbp pp and I would say that the extra comfort is worth the price.

haha. J adventure.

Out of curiosity I just checked at the WY J fares MAN-BKK to fly out for Christmas/New year. I paid 550 PP for EY economy tickets. The J flights on WY came out at 2487PP

There is that of course. But sometimes people will not budge. Earlier this year I did a flight from Bangkok to Chaing Rai with my son who is 8. We were separated by two rows. I asked the person next to me and the person next to him if they would move. Both said no. The one next to him changed her mind when he had been sick twice 20 minutes into the journey.

Turkish will status match EY Gold/Plat to Elite for 4 months. If you take a flight within 4 months, it'll extend for a year. 15,000 status miles within the year will extend it another year
