Refund due to downgrade from F to J AUH-NRT

I bought CAI-NRT RT in F for about $2,500.
CAI-AUH is J and AUH-NRT was F.
Now that AUH-NRT was downgraded to J, EY wants to refund for about $200. This seems to be too little. Does anyone know what was the price difference between J and F?

Unsure for me but you could try pricing J and F on EK from DXB and open with that position

I'd demand cashing in the whole ticket due to breach of contract and starting again

Poor advice unless you have insight into what OP paid and what various tickets cost today/

Chances are EY would be quite happy to do that. Hardly helps OP unless he can now purchase a seat for anywhere close to what he paid when he was ticketed.

Fair, I should have added (as I'd meant) assuming what you've written. I'd still run though if I'd booked first for the experience of F and not J

I manage to reroute free of charge my AUH-NRT leg via SIN to fly on EY470 and to have the experience of F. It’s a long detour as I continue in J with EY2720 and EY2768 both on MH metal. I don’t mind spending few hours in Singapore instead of spending the time in Tokyo.

I think I was lucky in the sense that I striked a goodwill agent after a few faulty attempts.
