3/1 EY103 Changed from A380 to A346!?!

Just logged in to review my AUH - JFK reservation and noticed my first trip in F on the A380 was just down gauged to an A346. Anyone know why? I'm hoping this is just a typo as my other EY flight has gone from a A332 to an A333 to an A345...

This isn't a typo, EY replaced A380 with A346 on 1 March to JFK for that day alone. No idea why.

Although it could be to get you to cancel your AA redemption.

I getting ready to pay for the same flights for F but this has me a little gun shy. I've never flown Etihad before and have some extra $$ so I thought the F Apartment would be a nice treat. To buy this and then get downgraded aircraft would be terrible.

What website (besides etihad.com) do you use to check on this type of thing?

Possible scheduled maintenance is one guess.

Anyway there was a schedule change on that A340 flight so I was able to move the flight to the second with no problem!

I'm assuming you were on a paid ticket? We are using AA miles and I imagine won't have the ability to change...

Yea paid ticket. But actually equipment changes on award ticket now qualify for a free change.. According to several Bloggers.
