I don't understand how $40 a day is "nice" compensation. That buys you nothing in Paris

I always pack at least an underware and a T-shirt in may cabin luggage. For domestic or int'l flights. ^

Is that $40/day regardless of Class of flight - or that is the economy rate?

Oh for christ-sakes, Paris has H&M. They don't inflate the prices just because they're on the Champs-Élysées.

$40 is really nothing you know that. Like the lost luggage that gets compensated at $20 per kilo that hasn't changed in more than 15 years.

I haven't been to Paris recently. Didn't realize they built an H&M on the Champs-Elysees. Is there a café inside the H&M as well?

Etihad ruined holiday because of 2 day baggage delay?? Overly melodramatic don't you think? Time to step back from the cliff, buddy!

Not really - If I was travelling somewhere on holiday - and they delayed my bags for 2 days, I'd be pretty annoyed and lacking (who knows what he had in the suitcase as well).

If I was travelling further within those 2 days - that would ruin it even more.

EY269 ends with a short transit time to Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt ( 1 hr to 1.5 hrs in AUH ), and EY269 is delayed most of the time. I had 2/2 baggage delay in AMS. Both occassions EY269 landed 30 minutes delayed in AUH.
