ANA NRT-IAD-NRT First Class 96,200 Guest Miles and $230 [now expired]

I've been on the proverbial hunt for a while now to finally book a partner award using my Guest miles. Availability across the board has been scarce/nonexistent.

It took an hour and a half on the phone, but I just booked NRT-IAD-NRT in ANA 777-300 First cubes for 96.2K and $230 YQ.

Roundtrip Y is 81,000 miles. These partner award charts are looney.

Sitting fat dumb and happy after my efforts.

Avail EY agent saw seemed to match UA.com. No open-jaws allowed, must be roundtrip ticket, booked 14 days min in advance.

To bad ANA doesn't fly to Oklahoma City (see chart).

The partner award charts look like a college intern created them and were published with no check by a common sense manager

You can put it on one ticket, but you'll be charged per segment as all pricing is done in city pairs. Its like booking an Avios award ticket.

Redeem Miles with ANA section has it. Pretty generous if you manage to book. FRA-NRT F 37100, LAX-NRT F 35100, etc.

Very generous. If you take LHR to Narita for example, its 38500 in Economy, but only 45100 in F. That looks a bit bizarre to me.

Congratulations! I thought this award chart was a joke, and I actually called EY office to confirm if the chart was valid, the agent said yes, but still couldn't believe it! Under Terms and Conditions it says "The Business Class redemption rates will be twice the value of the economy redemption rates" but certainly that does not match the redemption table, before even talking about F rates. Oh, let's just keep it quiet... shhhhh...

Just booked SIN-NRT-SIN - to be flown within 14 days of booking. Called up the first time, and the operator said there was no availability whatsoever. Called up again a second time 10 minutes later, talking to what sounded like a British lady. She was excellent (antithesis to the phone services I've experienced thus far on EY), patient and found the flights with no trouble at all - total time spent: 25minutes.

Like OP, I used UA to cross-check award availability!
