How many mileages required for redeem Asiana BKK-ICN-PEK ?

Hi,

As I've a bunch of Etihad Guest miles, also as my base is at BKK. I've a plan for travel to PEK by redeeming my EY miles with OZ partner. However, I just a little bit confuse about how many miles required for redeeming return ticket ? As I've seen from this table below (http://www.etihadguest.com/en/earn-m...iana-airlines/)

From my understanding, I need 18,000 Etihad Miles + Surcharge and tax for redeeming my OZ ticket. However, I've researched and found some website told me that I need to x2 my mileages(36,000 for return ticket BKK-ICN-PEK) so which one is right ? 18,000 or 36,000 ?

I also would like to know about stopover at ICN ? How much for approximated tax and surcharge for stopover for 2 nights ?

Thanks very much guys.

Dear ohmoomtang,

For BKK-ICN-PEK round-trip you will travel 5744 (2872 each way) you will need 35000 miles for round-trip ticket.

We hope this helps,

Kind regards *GW

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with booking an OZ award ticket. Please keep us updated.

Am I missing something or did Etihad remove partner redemption charts from it's website? I can only see earning rates for OZ, PG, etc.

They've now cunningly removed them from the "Earn miles" section and placed them under "Spend miles".

EY innovation at it's finest!

As I got wrong understanding and I just clarify from EY Helpdesk on this thread, Right now I don't have enough miles for the OZ on PEK route.

I still deciding, as I got a deal BKK-BOM-AUH-MXP-AUH-BOM-BKK-SGN only 445 USD which I expected to fill up about 3,000 - 4,000 miles. However, I might give up to do on mileage run and redeem a SriLankan (UL) BKK-CAN-BKK round trip instead.

I'll keep posting how's it works.
