Please post your Operational Upgrades for 2015

Starting this thread to try get an idea of routes with op-ups. how easily they give them out. to what type of tickets, and if its more y-j or j-f. Preference seems to be for tier status rather than ticket type based on experience.

Upgrade given: Y - J

Upgrade location: Gate

Route: AUH - CDG

Flight number: EY31

Type of ticket: Saver

Date of travel: May 17

Tier status: Platinum

Tier miles to date: ~145k

Number of pax on the same PNR: 1

To put the topic in perspective, I flew around 20 flights so far this year with Etihad. Not a single opup. Not expecting one anyway. Happy to be at a very back of the plane. I'm told it's the safest

In my personal experience, over about 40 flights in the past 12 months.
As Silver i would get about 1/5 flights upgraded.
As gold i would get 1/4 flights upgraded.
As gold elite / platinum ; 1/3 flights although i started using up some of those miles for upgrades.
Then again really all depends on route and how full Y and J are. My main routes are AUH-MNL and AUH-CDG.
For the most part i buy Y tickets.
