All EY lounges except AUH offer a la carte in the J lounge AFAIK

Sorry I have only just seen this, there didn't seem to be any separate areas, I have a few photos if you want to see them. One thing that I did notice is that around the general seating areas there was only a few electric power points that need UK 3 pin plugs which luckily I had for my laptop (there is a dedicated area for internet).

No Seperate area for F.
I asked for a menu when I sat at the dining area and the lady explained that there was no menu but they would try to make me something. I asked for Fish and they bought me prawn curry and Nile perch.
Service was very good .
Lounge is huge and has a very good buffet.
I will look forward to the new F lounge.
Shame the massage still only 15 mins seems not worthwhile.

Yeah, I noticed it too. Hopefully in the near future they can be more specific with the opening date, namely when exactly in April. Can't wait to try it. It's just a shame that my next flight is on 27 March, which no doubt will be too early for the First lounge's reopening. At least the Premium lounge is a good substitute In the meantime.

Is this the one at the US departure gates (58-61) after US immigration pre-clearance?

No, the newish Premium Lounge is opposite Gate 33 or thereabouts. It is very spacious and a vast improvement on the old one. However, there is a shortage of toilets and showers.

I didn't think there were any lounges at all after the US pre-clearance facility...

Had a couple of visits to the new Premium lounge in T3 over the Christmas holidays - a few observations:

  • old T3 F lounge is closed (as many have said) and the Premium lounge near Gate 35 is the interim combined J+F lounge
  • there is no separate area for F class pax (although there is apparently a private room somewhere in the lounge for Residence pax and presumably other VIPs)
  • lounge is very large, quite a few "zones" including 2x dining areas
  • buffet is very good - lots of hot options including local food and the bar looks well stocked
  • but no table service (except - see below) or menu (that I saw anyway)
  • however - there seem to be some additional perks available if the lounge staff know you are F class - e.g. my wife got eggs cooked to order rather then from the buffet, and we had some great personal service from the staff (could also be because they knew me from the old T3 F lounge though - not sure and YMMV)
  • if you're not in F or J it's a good idea to check you're eligible for entry before walking over - a lady with Eurobonus was being sent over to a lounge in T1 as we went in, and it sounded like a long walk

I was in the Premium lounge last night. There now appears to be a separate First Class area and F passengers are escorted to it by a member of staff at reception. The furniture is no different to the other furniture in the lounge. The F area is roped off, so to speak.

Reception staff confirmed to me that the new F lounge will not be open until June at the earliest, even though the website is still saying April.

Still no a la carte in the lounge regardless of travelling F or J. The buffet spread was of a reasonably good standard.

Lounge very well staffed and were attentive at all times. I was in there at 7:00 pm and it was quiet. By 9:00 pm the lounge was busy.

Im assuming the massage is free BUT you do have to pay for a manicure or pedicure - at least for J pax. Manicure 40 Dhs. Don't know about pedicure.

Interesting, not available 5th Feb! What I found most irritating was that as soon as my flight was boarding, staff in the lounge came round and 'urged', or perhaps 'shooed' business and first class pax to proceed to boarding gate (in my case 2 mins away), guess what, huge bottle neck in lounge and boarding had not commenced (despite what the displays said)!

It was as I was in there on the 2nd. However, like you it was not mentioned to me at the entrance, I just found it by accident. I was with my 7 year old and saw a quiet area roped off and went to enter it. A lady said it was for F pax only, and as we were in F were admitted.

As previously reported, same f&b as the J pax, but you get table service.

I liked the lounge, but it's not an F lounge....can't wait to see the EY & QR F lounges, think they will be special!

If you have a connect flight in T3, how far is the Al Reem lounge in T1? Never been in AUH before.

It's about a five minute walk after you clear the baggage security checks in T3. Not far at all.
