CDG to AUH in J - anything I should know?

Might book CDG to AUH, I remember seeing earlier on this forum some talk about EY using AF planes? Or am I mistaking?

Thanks in advance for help

EY38 the 2205 dep out of CDG is operated by an AF A343, as the morning departure (1105) EY32 is operated by an EY A346.

I understand the plane is an AF plane. Has anyone flown EY38 ? Is the crew AF or EY or both ? Are service standards AF or EY ?
Thank you !

I have flown in the other direction AUH-CDG on the AF codeshare in Y. It is wet leased so it's an AF crew (with a few EY staff on board) and AF service. It's the only time i've flown AF long haul so i can't speak to whether it's better or worse than their usual service.

In my experience Etihad is a fair bit better in terms of hard and soft product but YMMV.

I flew EY38 in last week of August from CDG-AUH.

Checkin at Etihad counter.

A343 was the worst 340/330 I had set my foot on. Reg - F-GLZS. Seemed one of the first one delvd. to AF.

Crew was AF with some EY reps.

Entertainment was AF.

Food Service/Beverage Service was EY ---> Lousy meal, Lousy wine selection.

I flew IAD-AUH-IAD in May did not like their product.

AF (A380) product on IAD-CDG was much better. (esp meals and wine).

But EY38 was downright nasty.

Absolutely right. Old old AF plane. If you can, avoid this code share flight and take the morning flight. EY plane is much nicer. Food and service average.

I'm flying Emirates today to avoid this flight, AF is nowhere near as good as normal EY.

AF metal. Best to be avoided.
