Business class Bangkok
Hello!
Can you tell me more about the business class service from Abu Dabi to Bangkok? What kind of meal(s) are served, and how is the seat in the boeing 777-300ER? Is there an old menu availeble? And how does the business class from Etihad compared to the business class of China Southern Airlines? Thanks a lot! |
Seats are flat bed,off set window seats are best, food has always been excellent in my opinion.
Plenty of Champagne or other tipples. Service is always spot on. Fastback imigration cards on arrival are a God send. You should have a great experience, hope you enjoy it. |
Are they angled beds or lie flat?

A La Carte menu- 31-12-12 AUH-BKK..Kindly removed by myself that day....Starters Traditional Arabic Mezze, Salmon and cucumber cannelloni, Roasted Pumpkin soup. Main course, Prawn hamsat with raisins and pine nuts, Poached Duck breast, Grilled Beef tenderloin or Al dente pappardelle pasta (never tried it, but sounds nice)... Selection of Cheese... Desserts, Chocolate coated Um Ali rasberry compote, Apple pudding, Seasonal fresh fruit and grapes or ice cream...The kitchen anytime menu consists of, Steak panini, Paprika pita with chicken, Cheese and buscuits, Baked cookies, Sweedish crisp breads or Arabic baklava (sounds interesting).... As mentioned before, window seats are the best, all are lie flat beds, enjoy...

Not sure what others have experienced. But I have done Man-bkk return four times in J. It is hit and miss with the seat type. Of the 16 segments, exactly half were flat bed. The others were the blue angled seats. My most recent trip was 2 weeks ago with both segments been the old style seat. Service and food on all flights were good quality. Shame it's so hit and miss with regard to seat type.

Is there that much difference? The seats are flat in both cases, right?

Etihad do not currently have any longhaul aircarft fitted with "angled seats" only full flat horizontal seats albeit that the older variety (of full flat seats) are in blue fabric.
