Duty free Champagne: In homecountry or in AUH?

When I fly to Jakarta next week, I'll buy a bottle of champagne in a duty free shop.
What do you think, should I buy it before my first flight or at the stopover in AUH? Is it in general possible to carry the champagne in this DF-bag, because of the liquid regulations?
My stopover is about 6hrs long and I'm going to be in a lounge.

Thanks in advance!

Typically much cheaper in European airports, so buy before arrival.

I'm more afraid I must give the Champagne up to the airport staff in AUH when I come back from the Lounge to the Gate for my second flight (because of the liquid regulations). There is a security check. What do you think?

they will not let you take it thru to next flight.
I did not find AUH champagne cheap at all!! now DXB( very cheap)
if there is a way of buying DF and putting in your luggage, Id do that.
what country are you flying from?? I find France cheap for many brands anyway.

Yes, I'm going to compare the prices in CGK to the prices in Europe!
