Complimentary return Upgrade probability?
 

Hi, I have seen on this forum before that EK does a complimentary return upgrade when a pax ungrades one way, are there any promotional periods during which this is done or a certain fare class for Y, i am planning HYD -> JFK & return IAH -> HYD for travel back & forth last week of july this month.
What are my chances of getting an upgrade on the IAH -> HYD sector if i upgrade with miles the HYD -> JFK sector, i will be getting silver status after my first leg of the trip.

actually, even i find it unbelievable, but i have seen some people post on this forum about it sometime back, was it only during ramzan or something i am not sure...

I have never heard of that. If anyone has any information on that - it would be great to share it with everyone.

Can somebody tell me if they r any upgrade eligible J Class seats on EK 201 DXB -> JFK on Aug 1 '09 through ur KVS or similar software.

My travel agent hasn't sent me my confirmed e-ticket yet, thought in the meantime whether i can even dream of upgrading my Y seat to J with miles..

Yes, plenty of seats available at this point.
