Emirates website problems?

Hi,
Been trying to enter passenger details for my flight but the stupid thing keeps telling me to enter a valid contact number. I tried to enter a number every which way in the field(s) provided but no luck. Tried using both IE and Firefox with no luck. Anyone encountered this before and know how to get it to accept the phone number?

thx

I have had the same problem for ages,trying to input my mobile numbers to receive text alerts. Tried with and without country codes etc etc.

I gave up a while ago. :td::td:

Best Regards

The silly thing is, I'm pretty sure I was able to do it successfully last year. Oh well. I supposed another 5 minutes at the check-in desk won't tire me out. :)

I have not been able to enter a phone number either. First noticed problem a couple of months ago. Also, not able to select a seat assignment in first class despite attempting on several different days. I have concluded they have fundamental programming problems.

I also had the same problem a few days ago, but managed to input my mobile number for flight reminder by SMS. Firstly, make sure the Home and Business fields are blank. In the Mobile field, input your mobile number in the following format: CountryCode + AreaCode + Number (No + sign or 00's at the beginning or spaces) e.g. if your number is +44 798 5155014, then enter "447985155014" and it should accept it. If it still doesn't, try again later.

I found this thread after Googling for the error message on flyemirates.com (in my case on the Advance Passenger Information page), "Please enter a valid contact number." In case it can help anyone else, the problem turned out to be that I was entering 1 for the country code (the A.P.I. page takes a contact number in 3 fields -- country code, area code, and phone number). The page's validation method apparently requires a 3 digit code. Entering 001 for the country code fixed the problem.
