Increase Frequency = Increase Price (CMB&MLE)

I re-read the bleow and it is a rant :)

EK has incresed frequencies to CMB and MLE and just checking the prices on the DXB-CMB route prices are now 10% more in Y and almost 20% more in J.

They also say in the press release that people can now have a two destination holiday, expect you are not permitted stopovers in MLE -- so how does that work!! I personally just want the stop over in MLE for my every 8 week work trip and then to CMB for a cheaper ex-CMB J and F -but wait--- ex-CMB seems to have gone up to now with the increae in frequencies-- on one route I was looking at by 20% :td:

Y-tix to MLE from some places are relatively 'cheap' now.

For instance: PEK-DXB-MLE RT/all-in is 4000RMB, which is just over 400EUR.

That's by far the cheapest fare you will find in this market.

BTW: what's the deal with the former partnership of EK and UL???
Are they now competing with each other on CMB-MLE, or are they still codesharing??

And didn't Jazeera use to also have direct flights from DXB?

It is now over USD $1000 DXB-MLE.

The agreement with skywards and code share ended last year-- EK use to do the MLE-CMB route and then dropped it last year and only did one way CMB-MLE-(DXB) - so this is a return of the old route. And then added two frequencies to the two dyas which they didnt fly the direct early moring route- Wednesday and Friday.

Maybe I should positon to PEK - it would be a savings for sure!

Jazeera no longer uses DXB as secondary hub, and so I assume their seasonal flights to MLE were axed.
