first class suites
 

I have booked a promotional first class ticket to Mumbai from London Heathrow using EK 30 (18 june), EK 502 (19 june), EK 501 (20 june) and returning on EK 30 (August).

The Emirates website states that the first and last flights have private suites. It seems that the flights to and from Mumbai that I am booked on do not. However, I know there is a daily A340 500 flight to Mumbai which has the suites.

I would be grateful if anyone could advise me whether there is any way of changing my flight so I fly at a different time on the same day so as to be able to use the suites whilst avoiding paying a £300 flight change fee. Also if anyone could confirm if the EK 30 and 29 do indeed have private suites?

Also, I have made a hotel reservation in Dubai under the current emirates promotion. Can any one inform me whether I would have to pay a cancellation fee if I am unable to use it or to stay for the full duration I have booked?

All offer suites in First except the 502. However, its not too longer flight and the F seats on the 502 are fine (I am doing it in 2 weeks).

Re the cancellation fee, I was told that I had to pay 200 U$ if I did NOT take the hotel reservation, but that said, EK did not have any authorization from my credit card so would not be sure how they would get that money eventually!

Re changing without paying, You can always call EK in DXB, they seem to be more flexible than other offices, that said, if you have a penalty you have a penalty to pay, anyone buying a ticket knows the fees for change, as you admit, you brought a cheapo ticket, so it is only fair that you pay for any changes if you ask me!

i did CMN-PVG-HKG-CMN in first and did the stopover on my return, and for a while wanted to cancel the promo stopover, so i called and asked what penalty i would get. it was with no penalty if i cancel at least 48hours before.
