missing baggage
 

I was traveling from London Heathrow to Islamabad via Dubai on Emirates. I dropped my mobile in flight from Heathrow to Dubai. On arrival at Dubai terminal 3, security check takes place, at that time I realized that my mobile is in plane. I turned my mobile off when they announce to shutdown all mobile phone. It was the last time I held my mobile. I made complain at Dubai airport and through email, but nothing happened. My checked in baggage also got missed during same flight. What can I do? What are chances that I'll get my mobile and missing baggage?

Your mobile? Guess it depends on the honesty of the cleaning crew or whether another passenger saw it and picked it up and kept it. Wouldn't count on seeing it again though.

Your baggage? I've found this depends on whether Emirates handle the baggage locally or it's managed by a third-party on their behalf. Emirates once lost one of my bags from LHR to SYD via DXB and I didn't see it for 3 days... their local agent in Sydney was useless and I could never get anyone to call me back to check on it's status. I'd advise talking to the Emirates Dubai call centre instead - I ranted at Skywards in Dubai and my bag miraculously appeared within 30 mins (about the time it would take to put it in a van at the airport and drive to my house).
