Emirates lounge for DUS
 

Emirates will open an own lounge in DUS in march 2009 (date not official).

After FRA and MUC it will be EK's third lounge in Germany.

Additional outstations that will have the Emirates lounge soon include Mumbai (BOM), Manchester (MAN) and Beijing (PEK).

Do you know the opening date for the MAN lounge?

I got told Summer 2009, but that only narrows it down to about 6 months :D

The shared lounge in DUS was not bad at all, at least not when I took the evening flights .. How does the DUS lounge compared to other multi-usage lounges in Germany?

Unfortunately no specific dates. The info i have states only Q2 2009.

I believe the new lounge is in T1. So, EK will be moving from T2 to T1 again in the near future. I'll keep an eye out for when this is happening.

The new EK lounge will have more floor space the "Open Sky" lounge that is shared by all other airlines in C-pier.

Good. The Mumbai one is long overdue. The current lounge they use in Mumbai is awful!

The food in the Munich lounge is SUPERB!!! - this was in 2007, though.

Seriously i might change my UK departure point if this lounge is opening soon. I normally fly ABZ-BHX-DXB because I like BHX better than T2 in MAN, but the shared lounge in BHX is really disappointing.

Hope the new lounge is as good as the lounge in BKK, that is better than all the lounges in DXB IMHO.

Hey Emirates777 I was wondering if you knew how accurate the information was regarding the DUS lounge opening in March.. or if there were any more specific dates..

I will be traveling back from DUS to DXB on the 23rd.. so would like to take pictures for the users of Flyertalk.. hoping its open!

Don't have specific dates around opening of DUS lounge.

Separately, Emirates will also be opening its dedicated lounge in Johannesburg this year.

Upon check-in ground staff told that the lounge will be opened on March, 29.

The Manchester lounge was mediocre to say the least in June 07.

That wasn't an Emirates lounge. It's currently a shared airport lounge.

Any updates on MAN opening dates?

I am scheduled to fly MAN-DXB in late June, and have a 5 hour layover at MAN from previous flight's arrival... would be nice to have a real EK lounge :)

well.. i'm at the dus lounge.. pretty nice standard ek lounge..

food is ok.. jfk is better..
