T3 Lounge

I am in T3 biz lounge there are a lot delayed flights due to poor weather conditions. Many of the problems with the lounge have not been addressed. The worst new problem is that some passengers have discovered it is quicker to leave the lounge through the emergency doors. This means you have the emergency alarm going off at least 3 – 4 times every hour. It seems to take the staff ages to go and turn them off. The breakfast selection has been cut in half, the grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and turkey/beef bacon (yeuk) have all been taken of the menu. Parts of the lounge are already closed for refurbishment and there are parts that are badly serviced. The toilets and showers have really deteriorated. In two of the toilets I tried neither of them had toilet tissue. My flight is delayed 3 hours now I am in T2 lbiz ounge and like T2 1st lounge earlier this week it is really quite. For those silver card holders who are denied access to the T3 lounge count your blessings.

Gorilaz,

I am crisscrossing DXB in Feb / Mar. Will be doing
BLR-DXB-MRU
MRU-DXB-SIN-DXB-MRU
MRU-DXB-BLR

I know the routing is a little wonky, but its part business, part MR :D. Do you think things would have improved by then? I am in economy through out this itinerary, btw. I am also EK Gold.

Yup, I'm in the T3 lounge now and it's noisy from the refurbishment work & the stoopid alarms going off.

Talk about bad weather, my flight from KUL was scheduled to arrive at 525am today but Dubai was so foggy that we circled around for almost an hour, still couldn't land so diverted to Doha where we sat in the plane for about 2 hours. I finally arrived DXB after 10am :( Luckily my connecting flight is later in the afternoon but I am sooooo tired!

The day did not get any better, we were bussed to the aircraft. The driver insisted on driving all the way with one hand on the wheel and one hand holding the radio mike!

Go to the old lounge... it's far better!

'Ditto that' ^

Although I was one of the Gold Card flyers that wrote and complained about our access to the new lounge. I know which lounge I will be using on Friday morning.

Best Regards

My day got worse, after the 4.5hrs delay getting into DXB (all of it stuck in the A/C), my connecting flight at 1500hr was also delayed another 4 hours!

Agreed that the old lounge is better than the one in T3, if only it was in T3 :p

I went to both the T1 and T3 lounge a little while back and the T1 lounge was SO dead and empty. It's actually just kind of depressing now

Appreciate the advice Rick - but I only have 2 hours between flights and guess that getting to and from T1 would take up a lot of that time.

Also would be interested if anyone knows whether the new lounge enables direct access to J in A380?

It's only about 10 minutes walk, but it depends which gate you are arriving from.

To board the A380, you leave the lounge, but it's on the same level, so away from the riff-raff :) Your BP is checked, and you take a lift down one floor to the upper level jetty.

Cheers,
Rick

With the potential health risk to both yourself and possibly others , they would most definitely deny boarding you .

Just kidding mate ... BP = Boarding Pass :)
