What do you like to hear and what don't want to hear on the pilot's welcoming PA, and on the before landing PA?

Want....

1. Everyone is aboard, and we'll be pushing back 10 minutes early

Don't Want....

1. Urggghhh, folks...., we have a problem that will force us to make an emergency landing

1. On-route weather and whether there is expected to be any turbulence

2. Flying time including arrival time

3. Local time at destination

4. If it is a day flight, a bit of information about the route including any nice scenery along the way and what major cities we'll be flying over. But to keep the masses happy, not too long, eg, 30 seconds on this. If it's a night flight, no one cares about the route or scenery so no point mentioning

5. Pilots name, and when flying EK, always good to do the nationality of the pilots.

That's about all I'd want to hear

What I don't like: The pilot's life story. [I heard this recently on UA]
