Also, people who redeem award tickets via partners will have trouble.
I always used my UA miles for EK first class tickets at 210,000 round-trip from the USA to DXB.
These were always booked in Z (same as EK uses) and was always pretty easy to get if one was a bit flexible.
Not with peak, EK offers these awards at 262,500 instead of 210,000 but books them in A and not Z.
As a result, people redeeming through partners have a very difficult time as Z is always closed but A is open.
