Yes, up-to 24 hours in advance, seat selection online also. That same link i've given you has a FAQ also on the right hand side.

u can check in online, if u r flying from one of the airports mentioned in this link: http://www.emirates.com/english/help...ry=193394#faq1

But be aware that once you start the process, there's no going back and you won't be able to retrieve your BP or change your seat. So make sure that the connection doesn't time out etc.
