Emirates plane forced to return to Perth
 
A technical fault may have forced an Air Emirates flight to Dubai to return to Perth and make an emergency landing, airport authorities say.

An A340-500 Airbus , with 122 passengers aboard, landed safely at Perth International Airport at 8.50am (WST) Thursday after taking off almost two-and-a-half hours earlier.

I am quite surprised by the low number of passengers flying on such flight operated by kerosin burning plane A340-500 :confused:

Surprised that the nonstop isn't doing too well...at least it's not high season...
Flightstats is showing the flight as 'arriving' at Dubai at 8:54. I reckon the flight was cancelled.
Wonder where the pax went...maybe they were put on the other flight.
