Re: Skywards Gold

There is no mention of a Skywards Lounge, nor a secondary Business Class lounge. Does this mean it is gonna be even more of a free-for-all at Terminal 3's Business Class lounge? I'm flying to GRU next month, I want to not be having to walk from Terminal 1's Gate 9 lounge!

Hot indeed

Although my Dec F booking says i arrive into T3 and depart from T1 !

I want it to be the other way around so i can enjoy the lounge etc before my flight !

Hopefully by Dec all flights will have moved across to T3 ^

Just checked my flight details on "Manage a Booking". Looks like I will arrive at T1 and depart from T3. Thankfully, I've got plenty of time to catch my flight so I won't be making any mad dashes to the gate. Looking forward to checking out the new lounge there

Hi, if all goes well without too many hitches do you think they will bring forward moving the rest of the flights to terminal three ?

I am arriving from Europe on 25th November then departing Far East same day. Looks like the old lounge at gate 9 for myself.

No sign on the video of where the people with long layovers will be sleeping on the floor ?

Best Regards
Flying Fireman

No reference to Europe, Asia or Oceania. The final paragraph should have been something like 'all other Emirates flights will move to Terminal 3 in due course'. They actually made the schedule public and if I remmeber well it's supposed to be over by December.
What bugs me is how they're going to jugle their aircraft. What if an aircraft that just operated a GCC service and comes back to DXB T3 to do a flight to Europe? Do they actually make the aircraft go to T1?

if they have to juggle planes i think they will, they'll have tow crews standing-by to tow aircraft to its new gates, all airlines have that facility in their ground handling team

Nah I reckon in "just to kick you in the " kind of way they'll leave the aircraft where it is, make passengers queue at a T1 gate (and use T1 facilities etc) and then bus you to the aircraft which is sitting at T3

There is a connection between T1 and T3 you can walk from one terminal to the other.

The entry to the T3 is next to the gates they use for bussing to the aircraft. from say the duty free it will not take more than 10 minutes.

The switch over of flights in the various phases will occur over a 2 week staggered period. The plan is to have all Emirates flights moved over to T3 by the end of November, assuming there are no major hiccups in any of the intermediate transfers, the schedule should be as follows:

Phase 1: GCC and Americas flights - already switched over 14 October

Phase 2: Middle East & African flights - expected to switch over by the end of October

Phase 3: European flights - expected to switch over in mid November

Phase 4: Australia, Asia and sub-continent flights - expected to switch over at the end of November
