a380 from DXB to JFK
 

anyone flown the new a380s?
I'm looking for a better solution to get from HKG back to NYC, I can't put up with CO99 15hrs and 3 repeating channels.

I think Cathay Pacific is a pretty good airlines to fly with, and you'll arrive sooner than >24hrs on EK

I was thinking that too, but AFAIK CX won't get you any FF miles with CO whereas EK would.

the FF miles are less important, comfort is more important...as we can't have speed anymore(till V Galactic is launched)

How about Air France
 

You'll find you can do NY-HK in 20 hours connecting in Europe. This'd be a faster connection than via DXB and pretty-much as quick as connecting on East coast of US... Also, Korean Airlines is OK on the NY-Seoul-HK route if you stick to their aircraft with new cabins.
