UAE Visa HELP!!
Could somebody help me out with my query..
I'm visiting Dubai for 8 days and already have my TRANSIT visa for those days through the hotel. Then I leave for 3 days to Jordan, and then just come back to the country to catch a plane from Dubai to Atlanta. The thing is I fly in to UAE via Sharjah Airport, and then just need to connect to Dubai International Airport to grab my onward flight. My question is about the 96HOUR Visa. I checked in many websites and it says you have to be minimun 5 hours in the country to be eligible. My flight in to Sharjah arrives at 7:20PM, and my flight from Dubai leaves at 11:35PM. There is a gap of 4hours and 15 minutes.. I just need to transfer from one airport to the other.. Is this possible? Would I be denied visa for not filling the 5 hours? Just so you know, Im a Mexican citizen with a Mexican passport. Please someone help me out, I'm going crazy not knowing what to do!! |

I suspect you are using Air Arabia for the cheaper fares...
I've noticed you've posted your question to other website(s)... It looks like a transit is possible..in these cases, but you should ask Air Arabia to help facilitate.. http://www.shj-airport.gov.ae/transferandtransit.htm If you get there, someone sympathetic might help -- or might not..so you don't want to get there without a status. There's something about the issueing authority 'Emirate'. If you get an Abu Dhabi visa, you're only allowed to enter/exit through that point.
Once I was redeeming miles with Gulf Air for a trip to Dubai; when I asked for their visa service they told me they could only issue me with a visa to Abu Dhabi, but not to Dubai and in this case my routing has to go into/out of Abu Dhabi. Again, with Emirates, their transit visa is only good for Dubai Airport. It could be an airliner thing but I suggest you call the nearest embassy/high comission for UAE and they should be able to help you with this one. Good luck; let us know how you go. |
