I can confirm that the JFK lounge is still closed. When asked about an opening date, the agent said, "soon".
One can buy a lot of bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches at Shake Shack for $55! |

What I will usually do with my $55 certificate, since I rarely ever use the full value, is treat others around me to a free meal since EK is paying for it. Does anyone know when the lounge will reopen? I am suppose to be flying out of Kennedy May 1st. |

According to EK’s twitter team, the JFK lounge will be re-opening May 2nd, a day after my departure. Just my luck...

Have the steak & eggs at The Palm T4. You won't be sorry if you like their steaks in the regular sit down restaurant. I prefer my eggs scrambled and runny ala European style, and it was amazing with the steak. All other 55$ choices in the terminal were not very appealing to me last week as I was on the same flight on the 7th.
