Availability on KWI-DXB route
 

Hi,

Is it normal for the flights on the KWI route to be as busy as they are at the moment, even with the large a/c that EK operate on it? I'm flying back from KWI later this week and almost every flight is zeroed out in every class, and the waitlist is already closed for all of the flight options that I tried.

It actually made me wonder if some of these segments have been canceled, and this is how EK reflects that in the reservation systems?

Or if it just is a case of really busy flights, does anyone have experience in how this availability changes close to the flight time - on a full J fare is it common for flights to open up on the same day?

Dubai shopping festival is ending soon (or has it ended?) That usually has domestic flights completely full. If EK is considering cancelling a flight, it will usually zero out in all classes before being removed from the GDS. But I doubt EK would cancel any KWI flights.
