Bugs in ICE

Hi

Just flew back DXB-AKL yesterday on EK406 and the ICE system was cracking up the whole way. When I first boarded I played some music and noticed the sound stream was cutting out every five-ten seconds (really annoying). When I informed the stewardess and told her the system needed to be reset (because all my neighbours had the same issue) she gave me another pair of headphones :( 3 hours later it was reset but alas futile as the bugs continued. From MEL to AKL it was the same even though they claimed 'engineers' would meet the flight in MEL to fix it.

These ICE bugs hit my IST-DXB in July this year but until then ICE has been so reliable. Has anyone had this problem? On the upside the food on this long flight just keeps getting better. Sadly both my EK413 and EK406 flights didn't have the moving map display so we had no idea how long it was to go; I know this sounds trivial but it makes a big difference on 14-15 hour flights.

Experienced following bugs:

On my DXB-MEL trip the movies played where not the same as selected, some movies didn't start either ... same for music ... selected some chill out eneded up with an very anoying opera ;-) systems freezed severall times FA rebootet my IFE 3 times ... the problem with the missing and mixed movies was not solved i noticed that all in the cabin had this problem.

On my home trip DXB-MEL the IFE didn't show thy skymap not in the personal ife and also not on the public screens during the flight- during the flight the public showed don't be too late for your connecting flight - i asked severall FA to fix this after 3/4 of the flight suddenly the public screens turned black ... and the "moving map" or how it is called was available again but without the estimated time to arrival flighttime aso.

This was also annoying because you wake up and don't know where you are or how long the remaining flight time is ...

On my DXB-MEL flight on an A330-200 (i know it is no ice), it was a very low load on this flight and i had to ask the fa's to start the ife after a hour because the forgot to start it. the funny thing was on the public screens the "movong map" or skymap was available but rebooted automatically after one run, was funny to watch.

In my opinion the EK FAs have no idea how to handle problems with the IFE or ICE their only solutions is to reboot ...
